Armenia - Oct 24

The Armenian Law of Wildlife, passed on April 12th of this year, allows citizens to own wild animals, including endangered species. While the law states that constant supervision is required and that animals may not be imported from the wild, many instances of wild animals injuring citizens and the import of endangered species from zoos are prevalent in the country. Armenia’s wealthiest and most powerful political players allegedly keep wild lions and tigers, making it difficult for the government to prevent these imports. Source: EurasiaNet
