Bangladesh - February 27
Bangladesh's leading opposition party, the Bangladesh National Party (BNP), is organizing another set of strikes, or hartals, to cause a 72 hour government shutdown. The strikes, which protest the killing of BNP activists, are part of a larger unrest movement implemented by the BNP since January 5th. The date marked the first year anniversary of the 2014 "fraudulent" presidential election when the BNP lost power. Since the unrest started, 78 people have died in various attacks within the last two months. Source: The Daily Star
