Bangladesh - March 5th
The Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI), and the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) have announced a new Energy Efficiency and Engagement program designed to boost Bangladesh's economy and decrease severe energy shortages. Currently, Bangladesh can produce up to 7,700 MW of power. As a developing nation with recent growth of 6% in real GDP this program marks progress in Bangladesh's efforts to make growth more sustainable. (The Daily Star)
