Chile - Feb 10

The director of the University of San Sebastian and ex-economic minister, Hugo Lavados, gave an interview about higher education in Chile. He was quoted saying "Chile has other priorities before financing the cost of higher education for all." He argues the government does not have the resources and money for universal free education, even though it would be ideal. His interview forms part of an ongoing debate in Chile about reforming the higher education system.
