Twenty-five years after the fall of Berlin wall, huge scale of ecnonomic transformations have taken place in Easter Europe. According to researchers at Capital Economics, Poland stand head and shoulder above the rest of regions in terms of economic performance. Eastern Europe as a whole region grew twice as fast as western Europe between 2000 and 2008, expanding at pace close to east Asia.
