The French-Egyptian journalist Alain Gresh, chief editor of Le Monde Diplomatique, says he was interrogated by police in downtown Cairo on Tuesday after a lady overheard him discussing Egypt's current political situation with two female journalists and notified the police. While the security forces were polite with him and his colleagues, Gresh said it was worrying and alarming that a civilian woman was mad with them and reported them to the police because of a conversation about politics.
