Egypt - Nov 14
On Saturday, a court of law should pass its verdict on a lawsuit to have the Salafist Al-Nour Party dissolved for violating the constitution. The party, established to represent Salafists after January 25, allegedly violates the constitution approved in January which bans any party with a religious base. Ashraf Thabet, a leading figure in Al-Nour, said that its base is article two of the constitution which stipulates that Islamic jurisprudence is the source of legislation, but is open to all Egyptians.
