European Union – Mar 24
The European Court of Justice, the EU’s highest court, heard a case today regarding how European’s digital data should be shared with American companies, including Facebook and Google. According to the current Safe Harbor deal, which was established in 2000, European data can be collected and stored in US data centers so long as certain security measures are upheld. Today, lawyer Max Schrems called for the repeal of this agreement. A decision should be made by June 24. Source: BBC News
