The Indian Supreme Court has overturned Section 66A of the Information Technology Act, which previously limited Internet users rights of discussion online. The court's stated that the law "arbitrarily, excessively and disproportionately invades the right of free speech". Even though the court still upheld the right to block certain websites, the development has been hailed as progressive ruling in a country plagued by media censure. Source: The Hindu
