India will be assisting Sri Lanka in the implementation of a finance intelligence entity in Sri Lanka, in order to trace more than $5 billion stashed overseas by the former Rajapaksa regime. President Sirisena is aiming to fulfill promises to check corruption and repatriate money transferred abroad.
