On Thursday, Claudio Giardellio, a man standing trial with two others on charges of fraudulent bankruptcy, shot his lawyer, a co-defendant and a judge in Milan. Even though the courthouse has multiple metal detectors at its entrances, regular visitors are frequently waved through without being screened. Authorities currently believe that Giardellio bypassed security in this manner.  Ultimately, Giardellio was apprehended by carabinieri police as he attempted to flee on a motorcycle.
