Recent failed negotiations with ISIS militants has resulted in the beheading of Japanese journalist, Kenji Goto. This is the second killing of a Japanese hostage by the militant terror group. Japan has struggled to deal with ISIS, since their only ally in the region is Jordan, which was preoccupied with saving its own hostage. Security experts deem this crisis a wake up call for Japan to revamp their historically passive role into one of action and preparation. Source: South China Morning Post
