Liberia - Feb 27
Liberia’s President Sirleaf urged the US to maintain its assistance to Liberia as the nation continues to recover from the Ebola outbreak. In a meeting at the White House, Sirleaf requested help with power projects to keep treatment centers running, for clean water and sanitation facilities, and for road construction. There have been nearly 10,000 Ebola attributed deaths in the region in the last year, so Sirleaf asserts the need to continue the fight until the virus is completely eradicated.
