The National Fatwa Council has deemed Halloween "haram" and as such, prohibited Muslims in the country from celebrating the festival in any way this year. The edict was issued in reaction to complaints lodged by Muslim residents last week against a private international school inviting students, including Muslims, to attend their Halloween event.
