The proposed National Anti-Corruption System backed by many politicians is stalled in the Senate. Members of the leftist party, the PRD, wish to strengthen this proposed system by changing the constitutional articles that essentially offer the President immunity, which raised tension across the aisle. while many support the idea, some believe that passing the bill is a higher priority right now for Mexico's political system.
