The masacre of Tlatlaya, in which 22 alleged drug traffickers were killed by the army, is now under deep scrutiny after the CNDH concluded that in the morning of June 30 eight officers killed 15 civilians who had surrendered after an armed clash that had left seven others dead. Once killed, the militants manipulated the crime scene to make it seem that they had all died during the crossfire. Source: El País
