Nigeria - Oct 21

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has officially declared the end of the Ebola epidemic in Nigeria - three days after making the same in Senegal. As of October 20th, Nigeria passed the 42 requisite days without detecting another case of Ebola. A 21-day quarantine of all persons in contact with the person who contracted the virus, along with specially created vehicles, mobile technology and programs, were employed to prevent the spread of Ebola in Nigeria. With both a swift response and the deployment of vast material and financial resources, the WHO emphasized that even developed nations with advanced medical systems could learn something from Nigeria.
