North Korea - February 4

On January 2nd, the DPRK foreign minister requested that 2014 UN resolution against DPRK’s human rights records be revoked. The resolution was passed based on the testimony of Shin Dong-Hyuk, a defector and author of the book, “Escape from Camp 14.” The resolution recommended putting DPRK leaders on trial before the ICC. Shin admitted parts of his account are false, leading to harsh criticism of the UN from North Korea.
