Oct 13 - China
On October 13th, China and Russia signed a bilateral trade agreement that covered over 40 fields of cooperation, including advanced technology swaps, currency swaps and high-speed railways. The agreement is set to last three years and is extendable by mutual consent. The agreement also focuses on how China and Russia would cooperate on developing nuclear power and advance the establishment of a Eurasian high-speed transport system linking Moscow with Kazan. As China has been Russia’s largest trading partner for the past four years, with trade amounting to 89.5 billion dollars last year, this agreement will only serve to further cement the relationship between these two countries.
