The National Register of Identification and Civil State in Peru announced that 98% of Peruvian children have recieved national identity documents, with the goal of reaching remaining children in the most vulnerable regions in the coming days. According to its director, the project marks another step towards the assurance of access to basic rights for those children and preventing abuse and mistreatment. Source: El Comercio
