South Korea - Feb 2

South Korea established a submarine command, the first in the nation, and the sixth in the world. Situated in Jinhae on the southeast coast of the Korean Peninsula, the new command is responsible for operations, logistics and maintenance, which in the past, were divided among several naval departments. This is a part of the defense reform that aims to enhance defense and combat ability of South Korean submarines, against growing submarine technology of North Korea. Source: Joongang | New Daily
