Uganda - Nov 4

Uganda’s banks are seeing increasing challenges of identity theft and fraud, such as computer hacking, card skimming and electronic file manipulation. Uganda is losing between $1million-$10million annually through bank fraud, yet authorities rarely hear about this as the banks are failing to report the thefts in fear of alienating customers. Many banks are not efficiently investing in safety systems, which is an increasing concern for Uganda’s international business and economic reputation. Source: All Africa
