West Africa - Sept 30

International health officials, including researchers from the US, are reporting that Nigeria and Senegal have been able to effectively contain the Ebola virus. Other parts of West Africa, including Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone, have been heavily affected by the disease with over 3000 deaths, so far. However, only 20 confirmed cases were reported between Senegal and Nigeria. According to the US Center for Disease Control, the outbreak in Nigeria could be officially declared to be over in the next month. Source: BBC
