Yemen - Oct 7

Yemen’s Zaidi Shia Houthi rebels reject President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi’s nomination of Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak for prime minister. Last month, the Houthis signed an agreement with the president to try to end a political crisis that had seen some of the worst violence in years in Sanaa. Among other things, the agreement gave the rebels a say in the new government. The wrong appointment may lead to an eruption of conflict. Source: BBC, Al-Jazeera
