Cold War political tactics are very much alive in the former Soviet Bloc as Elvis Pista was shot dead Sunday. Pista was a parliamentary candidate and at the time of his death, it was widely accepted that he held the majority of the votes from the election the week before. Three opposition parties to Pista’s Democratic Party of Kosovo had vowed to thwart his bid for office, though it is still not clear if the assassination was politically motivated. http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/06/15/us-kosovo-murder-idUSKBN0EQ0HU20140615
