David Hicks, an Australian who had been incarcerated in Guantanamo Bay from 2001 to 2007 for suspicions of providing materials to al Qaeda, was declared innocent by the U.S. Military Court. Hick’s family demanded apology from the Australian government for the unjust treatment, but the government denied claiming that Hicks undeniably revelled with jihads. In response, Hick has asked the government to cover his medical expenses for curing the injuries he obtained while being held in Guantanamo Bay. Source: Sidney Morning Herald
