Bangladesh - Feb 11

Political crisis has engulfed Bangladesh, as members in the ruling Awami League and the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) refuse to resolve their differences. The violence, which started on the first year anniversary of the Awami League's electoral victory, has consisted of arson attacks, riots, and blockades by BNP supporters who felt the previous years election results were unfair. It is important to note that previous election results were also marked by periods of violence. 69 people to date have died from the recent attacks.
