Cameroon - Sept 29

In spite of an increase of troops and legislature passed in order to prevent the efforts of the radical group, Boko Haram continues to target northern Cameroon, leaving the country’s populous in constant fear and without necessary aid as a result of regional insecurities. After it was discovered that motorbikes were the preferred transportation of the armed group in the arid Maroua, bikes were singled out in a targeted curfew and yellow cabs began to show up at later hours to allow citizens to leave their houses at night. As the conflict has continued to escalate, villagers have been drafted to gather intelligence and control the movement of the people. There are no signs of the war ending soon, and as a result the economy, humanitarian work, and social life have taken a massive blow in Cameroon, where conditions are worsening. Source: alJazeera
