At least five drones were sighted on Monday night over landmark locations in Paris.  The first drone flew 100-300 meters above the US Embassy in a flight-forbidden zone.  Although drones are easy to purchase in shops around Paris, the city has been on particularly high alert for potential terrorist attacks since the Charlie Hebdo shootings in January.  Authorities fear the recent drone flights may be part of an organized operation, but the motives for such an operation remain unknown.
