Germany - Nov 4
The German train drivers’ union GDL called a strike following negotiation breakdowns between GDL and national railway operator Deutsche Bahn. The strike, which will run from November 5 to November 10, seeks a 5% pay increase and a shorter workweek. It is the sixth strike in the ongoing labor dispute, and the longest ever German rail strike. Celebrations this weekend commemorating the fall of the Berlin Wall’s 25th Anniversary will likely be affected by it. Source: Welt.de, BBC
