Iran - Feb 23
Iran and American officials are making progress toward a long-term deal over Iran’s nuclear program. The two countries ended a series of negotiations on Monday and look to have a deal by March. Secretary of State John Kerry was in Geneva working on negotiations this past weekend. Currently, the issue of contention is how long Iran should be limited from nuclear development. U.S. officials want Iran to be unable to make a bomb for 10 years, whereas the Iranians want more flexibility. An agreement will need to be reached before further progress is made.
