Yemen - Feb 22
Yemen’s President Abdu Hadi was able to escape the capital, Sana, where he has been held by a militia group since January. He is currently in Aden, a city outside of rebel (Houthi) control. President Hadi is attempting to resume his presidential duties, even though he has left the capital by meeting with governors of southern providences and military leaders. His return is changing the nature of United Nations negotiations between the Houthis and other political leaders to restore governmental control to the country after the Houthis invaded the capital earlier this year.
