Although the number of refugees who embark on the dangerous journey to Europe in search of asylum is roughly the same as in previous years, the number of deaths along the journey has increased nearly 10 times. This week, 15 Muslim African migrants were arrested by Italian officials for throwing 12 Christian passengers overboard during their journey from Libya to Sicily.  Survivors claim to have resisted by forming a human chain to avoid being thrown overboard.
