Italy - Mar 20

Italy's Transport and Infrastructure Minister, Maurizio Lupi, has resigned in the biggest corruption scandal of its kind in the last 20 years.  Allegations have surfaced that more than 25 billion euro's worth of tenders for major public works were systematically rigged. Minister Lupi is not directly under investigation himself but has close ties with suspects of the investigation.  Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has welcomed Lupi's resignation. Source: Euronews
