Lebanon - Oct 30
The Lebanese Armed Forces is descending hard on armed groups in the north. The army had an unprecedented use of heavy force in the recent clashes with ISIL-linked armed groups in Tripoli which began on October 23 and lasted for four days. It was the deadliest confrontation since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011. The army's exceptional use of force was publicly supported by the country's political establishment and mainstream Sunni politicians. Source: Al Jazeera
