Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone - Nov 6
Tony Banbury, the head of the UN mission charged with fighting Ebola has stated that he doesn’t yet have the necessary resources to halt the spread of the deadly virus. In spite of major contributions from the UK, China, and the US, it is clear that more help is urgently needed in West Africa. Banburry, however, is still optimistic that he will be able to achieve his target of 70% bed space for new cases and 70% safe burials by December. Source: BBC Africa
