A 25-year old Bangladesh national was stabbed to death in a cafe in Male on Sunday morning, while another Bangladeshi national was found dead in Alif Alif Atoll Thoddoo Island last night. Two expatriate workers were also stabbed tonight near Male fish market. Maldives Home Minister, Umar Naseer, stated that the government is considering closing restaurants and cafes by 12AM and closing all shops by 10PM. Twenty-five expatriate workers were sent away by the police during their protest at the Bangladesh High Commission on Sunday. Migrant workers have consistently been one of the most vulnerable groups in the Maldives.
