Thailand - March 25
A group of Uighur Muslims have become the focus of a diplomatic conflict in Thailand between China and Turkey. The group of 17 - a family - was detained by Thai police in March 2014 after illegally crossing from Cambodia. The group claimed to be Turkish, and were issued passports by the Turkish Embassy. China insists that the detainees are Chinese Uighurs who should be returned to Xinjiang, China. The court will decide on Friday whether the group should be released.
