Maldives - Sept 28

Radical Islam has seen an increasingly strong presence in Maldives, with growing supporters in the military and police. Many extremists youth in gangs are also turning to ISIS. This week saw a series of violent acts towards the main opposition party from radicalized gangs, including a fire, vandalism, and death threats. Former President Nasheed, however, states that the government is unable to stop these gang activities as senior government officials have employed gangs for its own purposes.  Source: Minivan News
