Nigeria - Oct 24

Though the group has not claimed responsibility, Boko Haram has allegedly abducted dozens more women and girls in the past week. According to a relative of one of the women abducted, the insurgents abducted around 80 women and girls from two border villages between the Adamawa and Borno states. Later on that same night, they released the older women into the woods and are rumored to have turned the girls into wives and cooks. There are still many unanswered questions, but these recent attacks seriously call into question the validity of last week’s cease-fire agreement between the Nigerian government and Boko Haram.
