Nile River - Mar 23
The leaders of Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan have agreed to build the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Nile River. The dam, the largest of its kind in Africa, will provide increased water and hydropower to Ethiopia. The agreement comes after Egypt expressed worries about water diversion and access as a result of the dam. In addition to these three countries, it also has the backing of Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Burundi. Source: BBC News
