Pakistan - February 24th

Pakistan's Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, and his cabinet announced a proposed amendment to the Constitution which would prohibit Senate horse-trading.  Buying Senate seats through back door deals will no longer be permitted in the run up to the March 5th elections. In an attempt to make the Senate elections more transparent and democratic, the proposed political reforms has been met with great fanfare from opposition leaders.
