Rwanda - Mar 17

The Finance Minister of Rwanda reports that the economy has grown 7 percent in 2015 due to expansion in the farming, services, and industrial sectors of the economy. The reported growth rate exceeds the estimates of 6 percent. The growth rate follows the disappointing growth rate of 4.6 percent from the previous year, which was caused by cuts in monetary support from donors after the accusations that the Rwandan government was supporting rebels in the DCR. Rwanda’s average growth rate is 8.2 percent from 2005-2012. Source: Reuters
