Syria - Nov 10
Gunmen killed five nuclear engineers, four of them Syrian and one Iranian, on the outskirts of Damascus on Sunday, in an area controlled by forces loyal to the Assad regime. The engineers were shot dead while traveling to a research center in the north, by Barzeh. Iran has propped up the Assad regime throughout its Civil War primarily through military means and in the past, helped Syria with technical nuclear expertise. Hezbollah accused Israeli agents of conducting the attack, though no one has assumed responsibility. The attack demonstrates a further deterioration of regime control. Source: Reuters
