Tajikistan - Sept 29

In Tajikistan, teachers are paid so little that the profession has found enormous difficulty in attracting qualified employees. Of particular concern is the dearth of Russian teachers. Enrollment costs for Russian language schools run at 10x the country’s average monthly salary. Since there are few jobs in Tajikistan, half of working age Tajiks seeks employment in Russia, so there is an obvious need to expand Russian teacher recruitment and instruction. Source: Eurasianet
