Thailand – Feb 6

While US-Thai military relations worsen as Washington continues to pressure its ally to return the country to democratic rule, Thailand and China’s military friendship has blossomed. On Friday February 5th, Thailand and China agreed to bolster military links through expanded joint training, technology sharing, and discounted arms sales. In addition, China’s defense minister promised that China would not interfere with Thailand’s military regime, something that the Thai government has criticized the US for doing.
