Tunisia - Oct 27

Tunisia's Ennahda party, the first Islamist movement to secure power after the 2011 "Arab Spring" revolts, conceded defeat on Monday in elections to its main secular rival, the Nidaa Tounes party. Tunisia overcame a political crisis between secular and Islamist movements and approved a new constitution this year to allow the elections. The Nidaa Tounes victory may allow the return of some Ben Ali-era figures who have dissociated themselves with the regime and recast themselves as skilled technocrats. Source: Reuters Zawya
