Hungary - Oct 27
The Hungarian people are in an uproar over a law proposed by the government that would put a tax on internet usage. While the government sees the tax revenue as a large incentive for enacting the law, citizens and the EU are suggesting suppression. Some speculate that the internet tax would limit public knowledge of recent corruption scandals involving government officials, but with this amount of national and international outcry, the law may be dismissed.
