Domestic issues in Turkey are once again in the public eye as Ankara carried out airstrikes on the ethnic Kurds in the East of the country. This is the first time in two years that conflict has erupted between the Kurds and the ethnic majority and it is coming at the most inconvenient of times- Turkey is supposed to be focusing its military energy on combatting ISIS to the south in Syria. Will domestic unrest prove to be irrelevant Turkish action against ISIS or will domestic conflict escalate into civil war? Source: Bloomberg Businessweek
