Uganda’s Central Business District and multiple rural towns will see a US$0.74 million investment in internet infrastructure from the company Liquid Telecom. This will reflect positively on Uganda’s economy – a recent World Bank found that the development of broadband technologies has a greater effect in developing countries than in developed countries. This is relevant as Uganda is demanding upgraded technology systems to support its growing data services sector and help create new jobs. Source: All Africa
